Arigaa – UAF
Arigaa – UAF is CYAK's ministry in Fairbanks that is geared toward reaching UAF students and their friends with the good news of Christ. We walk along side these students through the formational years of college, and help them develop their relationship with God. Every week, we have an outreach meeting, where students can come together to learn about God, worship, and spend time in healthy community with one another. We also have a weekly Bible Study for students to grow in their faith through the reading and studying of scripture, and we do fun outings like hiking and canoeing where we can celebrate the beauty of God's creation in this beautiful state!
Arigaa – UAF has been impacting student's lives for over 20 years. It first began as Campus Christian Fellowship, and has recently changed to Arigaa – UAF so that students transfering between UAA, Job Corps, and UAF, will be able to easily recognize the continuity and quickly be able to find a place of community with fellow believers. Through the years, the ministry has been under the direction of several Covenant Pastors including Harvey Fiskeaux (now the Covenant Pastor in Nome) and Curtis Ivanoff (Now the Field Director of the Evangelical Covenant Church of Alaska). For the past 10+ years, the ministry has been led by John Hege, who is now accompanied by Kara Bladel.
