CYAK Mission

ECCAK’s youth ministry department primary role is to be a catalyst for the development of ministry to youth in Alaska.   CYAK is working strategically to increase ministry to youth ages 12 to 25.   Our strategic focus remains to work in synergy by networking Covenant churches, and other partner ministries in a “continuum of care” discipleship process (Win, Build, Send): Winning kids to Christ, Building them in their faith, and Sending them out to reach others.

The Team concept is key for youth ministry in Alaska.  We can do things collectively that individual churches and individual youth workers couldn’t do alone. 

The continuum of care creates our comprehensive statewide youth ministry strategy that tracks students from age 12 to 25.  CYAK acts as the catalyst for developing ministries, partnerships and new initiatives, to build a process of discipleship for students from Covenant churches in Alaska.   The continuum focuses on the discipleship process.   Each ministry in the continuum represents an important component for spiritual development for students.   The continuum includes outreach programs like Bible Camp and Regional Youth Retreats, student leadership programs like CEF or Leaders 4 Life, and College ministry programs like Campus Christian Fellowship, Alaska Christian College, and the Amundsen Educational Center.  Our role is to be a catalyst and develop, help and network ministries in the continuum of care.
